In 1929, Julia Morgan designed the Berkeley Women's City Club, the collective vision of its 4000 female members: Lush gardens and courtyards provided sanctuary. A library and roaring fireplace brought great friends and conversation together. An invigorating pool enlivened body and spirit. More than a building, the Women's City Club fulfilled dreams.
Today, the Berkeley City Club is a private club for both men and women, and a meeting place for Berkeley's arts and culture community. Morgan's "little castle" has been renovated and is an exciting destination hotel for architecture-lovers and a favorite venue for weddings and special occasions.
More than a building, the Berkeley City Club continues to inspire friendships, celebrate beauty and nourish dreams.

Adagia Restaurant
At Adagia, we ask you to join our table because we are bringing great things to it. Things like the immediacy of great ingredients grown by local farms. We work directly with many of these farmers so we bring you the vibrancy of foods grown in their season, without being transported long distances to get to us. We hope you will join our table and support local farmers and sustainable methods of growing.
Westminster House's history goes back to the early part of the 20th century. For information click here.
The seeds for Adagia were planted in the late 90s as owner Daryl Ross and Westminster Minister Randy Bare conversed about philosophy, community and their mutual desire to make the then run-down building more accessible to the public and less of an enigma. For Daryl Ross, Adagia was a logical outgrowth of his continued interest in making organic and locally grown foods accessible for the campus community. Six years after those initial conversations, Adagia opened its doors in February 2005.

Revival Bar & Kitchen
The kitchen at Revival sources everything it can from local, small operation farms and fishermen. Most of these purveyors are certified organic. You don't need us to tell you why it's a good idea to eat organic when you can. A smaller operation means a closer relationship between the crop, the land, and the people who profit from it. We are a root-to-shoot, farm-to-fork restaurant. That means we use every physical part we can of the animals and produce that come into our kitchen. We minimize waste and maximize flavor in the same gesture. Every dish is improved by the respectful, reasonable treatment of its component ingredients. Come to our restaurant and taste it for yourself. Keeping our purveyors within 100 miles has several benefits. Less transport time means a reduced carbon footprint. The food doesn't lose freshness or vitality sitting in the bed of a truck for two days. We also get a chance to develop friendships with the producers themselves.
