The First Art Deco Preservation Ball was held in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the restoration of the Paramount Theatre and was designed to bring attention to the threatened “Deco District” of Oakland including the Fox Theater and Floral Depot. Today, at last, those buildings join the Paramount, restored and thriving.
