ADSC is an all-volunteer membership organization. Nothing happens without one of our members taking the effort to make it happen. That someone could be YOU!
- Write an article.
- Organize a lecture program.
- Create a webpage.
- Help produce an event.
- Make your idea come to life – with help from ADSC's wonderful Board of Directors.
Right now, we are in the midst of improving our responsiveness to new members, tips on preservation, inquiries from press and public, and more. We are trying to strengthen our committees in Preservation, Promotion, Publications and Membership, because there are so many worthy projects that are waiting to get done until we have enough people to do them!
If you have experience or talent in writing, editing, organizing, or fundraising – please call us. Even if you can only help for a few hours, making phone calls or stuffing envelopes or typing data, we need you!
That's how you can help us. How can we help you? For those who are just starting a new career – or wanting to change from an old one – nonprofit work can give you the experience you need. You'll be working with professionals on projects that are important to you … and that will inspire you to your best work!
And, you'll have fun doing it! It's very satisfying being part of something worthwhile, whether it's an archiving project or a gala event. And members who volunteer often get special discounts and privileges, as well.
